Take some virtual tours

A pair of virtual art history tours.

While not as immersive as Lascaux, these are more self directed; the instructor could guide the student to the important features, the student could explore to find them herself, or there could be a treasure hunt combo of the two.
While not about art this  tour of the Ann Frank house is good too:

Here too, are some more old places visualized

  1. There was a big push last year for virtual field trips in my school. They are cheaper and don't require permission slips. The really good ones, like the ones you have here, are extremely intricate and time consuming to produce. If done well they are worth it though.

  2. you are right the well done ones are difficult to produce, even if i knew how i'd not have the time. but there are some programs out there with reasonable learning curves --dreamweaver?-- that i'm will to try ... not while trying to finish up 6020, but mid-summer, maybe.
